It started in Nepal. It never stopped.
A 1998 trek through the Himalayas changed everything. What began as a personal journey became a decades long commitment to fighting trafficking and building leadership capacity in NGOs worldwide.
In 1998, Adelle Hemingway trekked through Nepal. What she witnessed, the vulnerability of communities, the courage of local leaders, the gap between need and capacity, stayed with her.
Hemingway Global grew from that experience. It's not a separate business, it's a commitment. A portion of every Hemingway HR engagement supports anti trafficking work and leadership development for NGOs and not for profits operating in high risk regions.
The work focuses on two things: supporting organisations that protect vulnerable people, and building the leadership capacity of the people running those organisations. Because good intentions aren't enough, effective leadership is what makes the difference.
